In-depth insight into your translation projects with the Edit Distance Report
No matter whether you want to analyze changes within a task or compare the final translation of two tasks with each other, this report presents a comprehensive analysis of the changes over time. See in detail how your texts change in the course of the processing.
Apart from allowing you to compare changes, the Edit Distance Report enables you to calculate the post-processing (after machine translation), proofreading, or review workload. Improved project management
Thanks to significant enhancements in the Projects module, time-consuming processes such as the check-in, pre-translation, and creation and import of packages have become up to 75 percent faster. Moreover, the performance in crossDesk has been improved by up to 40 percent, enabling faster opening, scrolling, searching, replacing, and quality management. No more spelling mistakes
Good news for all Across users: In this update, we have fully revised the spell-check functionality. Thanks to a new set of Hunspell dictionaries that is seamlessly integrated in the installation process, it has become even easier and faster to create high-quality translations. The Hunspell, MS Office, and Sentry spell-checkers are now activated by default for better detection of spelling mistakes. With the higher performance and more reliable and efficient spell-check functionality, you will be able to improve the quality of your translations significantly. Use the benefits of the upgrade to v8.0 8470 of the Across Language Server and the Across Translator Edition.
Other new functions
Imagine you could configure all terms and definitions in such a way that they are automatically displayed to all users. With our new function, this is now possible. Configure your terminology according to your needs and ensure that important information is accessible to everyone without any extra work.
With our new function, we support the translation of all hyperlinks in PPTX files. Simply activate the respective option in the PPTX document settings template to use this function in order to edit your presentations even more effectively.
Users can now decide whether or not to import notes in the XLIFF file format during check-in. In crossDesk, any imported notes are displayed as write-protected paragraph comments. This helps you to manage important information and further optimize your translation work.
The names for the deprecated languages Serbian, Uzbek, and Hmong have been updated and marked accordingly in the user interface. For Serbian, please use the language group Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian with the respective sublanguage. For Uzbek, Across offers various valid variants. If you have any questions concerning Hmong, please contact your company's localization manager. With these adjustments, you can easily keep track of your language settings.
AcrossMT can now be integrated in the Across Language Assistant as a proven, reliable translation solution for use by all team members.
Have you always been looking for an easier way to customize the Context View? Here it is! In crossDesk Web, a separate zoom function has been introduced especially for the Context View. Zoom in or out by clicking 
icon or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+mouse wheel. These new options allow you to view your translation work in the way that works best for you.
